About PIPESIM:
The PIPESIM steady-state multiphase flow simulator offers workflows for both front-end system design and production operations. The PIPESIM simulator is frequently used to identify situations that require more detailed transient simulation using the OLGA multiphase flow simulator.
PIPESIM 2019.1 introduces the new network optimizer. The optimization algorithm used by the network optimizer is developed by Schlumberger-Doll Research Center (Cambridge, MA) and has been used successfully to optimize networks containing thousands of wells. The optimizer adjusts gas lift rates, ESP/PCP speeds, or choke bean size, to maximize network performance while minimizing field operational costs. Applied constraints will be honored during the optimization. Constraints can be applied on a global level, and/or to wells, flowlines, and sinks, either individually or in groups. All inputs to the optimizer are combined into one single task. For additional details on this release, please see the full release announcement.
